Get Outside!

The Chewelah Valley Land Trust is a community effort working toward ensuring access, increasing recreational opportunities, and conserving lands, waterways, and forests in the greater Chewelah Valley.

In wilderness is the preservation of the world.

Henry David Thoreau

When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world.

John Muir

As pressure on wild spaces continue to increase, it’s important for visionaries to do their part to set aside spaces for future generations to enjoy. The Land Trust is going to do just that.

It is important particularly now with the age of screens to connect children to the joys and benefits of their natural world. This community forest will do just that, it allows families to experience nature together. It will provide a great space for future generations to learn about the environment, it’s resources, and the importance those have to a healthy community.

This is an effort  The Land Trust seeks to promote a healthy and active culture for all of our residents.
